Why it matters
A James Hardie mention tells you a contractor sells the product. In metros where few installers name it, expect fewer competing fiber-cement bids and check the manufacturer’s directory for your ZIP before relying on a website claim.
What this number can’t tell you
- A mention is a company statement, not proof of installation volume or program membership.
- Lightweight records come from one homepage glance, so their shares are lower bounds.
- Candidate lists were built differently in each metro; small differences between metros are not meaningful at these sample sizes.
What to do with it
- If you want fiber cement, ask each bidder which brand and product line it installs and who backs the labor warranty.
- Search the James Hardie directory for your own ZIP before you sign.
