ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI · FIRST EDITION · OCTOBER 13, 2026
St. Louis siding contractors, researched.
21 companies that show siding installation in the St. Louis metro on their own websites, each with a record of what it says it installs, where it works and what it promises. Researched, not yet rated; ratings are added in a later edition.
How the St. Louis market differs
Storm and roofing contractors sell much of the siding. 11 of 21 St. Louis siding installers with a record lead with roofing on their own homepage; 5 lead with siding. Several advertise storm-damage and insurance-claim work, so some bids may arrive bundled with a roof repair. Ask for the siding scope priced on its own.
Missouri has no state siding license. The state Division of Professional Registration lists Electrical Contractors among its boards but no general, home-improvement, roofing or siding contractor board, and the City of St. Louis licenses mechanical, plumbing, drainlaying, electrical and sprinkler contractors, not siding (both observed October 13, 2026). St. Louis County licensing was not checked: the county site served a bot-check page. These records therefore carry no license data.
Permits are a city question. Whether a re-siding job needs a building permit depends on the city where the house is, not the state. We have not yet recorded city siding-permit rules for this metro; ask your city, and ask each bidder who pulls the permit.
