Why it matters
A crew based nearby is not a guarantee of better work, but it shortens travel for the job and for warranty calls. Where only one installer is based in town, most comparison bids will come from farther away; ask each about scheduling and callbacks.
What this number can’t tell you
- Where a company is based is not where it works; most serve the whole metro.
- A place outside the principal city can be a suburb or a town beyond the metro.
- Records without a recorded city are left out, and this is not a census of every installer.
What to do with it
- Ask each bidder how many siding jobs it completed in your city last year.
- Use the city pages to see which companies with a record are based in your town.
